Effective February 1, 2025, Waste Pro will be the new waste and recycling collection provider in the Town of Oakland. Customers will receive the 96-gallon cart size for solid waste and recycling collection if a selection is not made. We look forward to serving you in 2025!

Regular Pickup Schedule

Household garbage is collected once per week. Your pickup schedule is either Tuesday or Friday. Please click on the following link for a map of your service area: MAP of Household Area (Green= Tuesday and Orange=Friday)

Household recycling is collected one (1) time per week. Your pickup schedule is Thursday.

Residential yard waste is collected one (1) time per week. Your pickup is scheduled for Wednesday.

Please place your household garbage, yard trash, and recycling curbside by 7 a.m.

Residential Collection

Please place your household garbage, yard trash, and recycling curbside by 7 a.m.

If you are physically unable to place your containers curbside, you may request a medical waiver from the city, qualifying you for rear door services. Please CLICK HERE to link to the Town of Oakland.

Each resident is allowed up to one (1) 64 or 96-gallon cart for garbage collection. Additional carts may be ordered with a monthly charge assessed. All household waste must be containerized. Recycle carts are provided for single-stream recycling, and a 64- or 96-gallon recycle cart is provided for collection.

Residential yard waste is collected one (1) time per week. Your pickup is scheduled for Wednesday. Yard Waste shall be containerized, bagged, or neatly stacked with a  (3) three cubic yard limit. It should be placed curbside by residential customers for collection according to the provisions herein and shall be collected once per week.  Yard waste may not exceed five (5) feet in length or be greater than fifty (50) pounds in weight for any single can, bag, or bundle.
