Thank you for trusting Waste Pro to provide you with solid waste and recycling collection services. The significant increase in fuel prices, along with the continuing national driver shortage, and ongoing supply chain issues have increased costs dramatically over the last twelve months. Company-wide we have increased recruitment efforts such as in-house training of drivers through our Co-Heart program, made wage adjustments, and continue to offer retention and sign-on bonuses to attract and retain qualified personnel. These proactive measures were taken and are modified regularly to ensure uninterrupted collection services to assist with keeping your streets clean and safe.

As allowed per our collection agreement with the City, Waste Pro will be implementing the following CPI increase (effective 12/1/2022) as well as a disposal increase (effective 10/1/2022) as related to the new tipping fee put into effect by Pinellas County for disposal services. In total, the increase will be 10.62%. This CPI and disposal increase covers operating costs as well as the disposal charges at the Pinellas County Solid Waste Disposal Complex that are allotted as per our agreement with the city. This equates to a $1.63/month per home (new residential rate $17.02/month/home). Commercial account rates will be adjusted by 10.4%.

Please place your household garbage, yard trash, and recycling curbside the night before your scheduled collection day or by 7 a.m. on the day of your scheduled service.

Jou Koleksyon:

Household garbage (solid waste & yard waste) is collected two (2) times per week.

Jou Koleksyon:
ZONE A: Monday and Thursday
ZONE B: Tuesday and Friday

Residential single-stream (commingled) recycling is collected one (1) time per week.

Recycle collections for the City will occur on Wednesdays.

Solid Waste & Yard Waste Collection:
• The green cart is for solid waste and yard waste collections and should not exceed 50 lbs. in weight.
• Please bag all garbage before placing it in the green cart.
• Properly prepared yard waste that does not fit in the provided green cart can be placed curbside for collection if the waste is bagged, bundled, and two (2) cubic yards or less.
• Please bag all yard clippings/leaves.
• Palm fronds and tree limbs are not to exceed 50 lbs., 4 ft. in length, and should be placed curbside neatly stacked.

Side Door Service:
Medical side door service is available at no additional charge for residents who qualify medically during an annual qualification process.

Bulk Item Collection:
Bulk collection (ie: furniture, mattresses, tables) is available to each resident four times per year and up to two cubic yards of waste per pick up. Each bulk item should not exceed 50 lbs. in weight. Additional bulk item requests can be made for a special fee.

Waste Pro will be providing curbside bulk collection four (4) times per year and up to two (2) cubic yards of waste per pick up to each resident.

• Yard waste
• Appliances
• Large items (mattresses, box springs, furniture)
• Electronics

Residential recycling collection in the City will occur on Wednesdays.

• Cardboard (flatten all boxes)
• Glass: Clear, Green, & Brown Glass Jars & Bottles
• Metal: Aluminum/Steel/Tin Cans & Empty Aerosol Containers

DO NOT place any of these items in garbage or recycling roll carts:

• Batteries                  
• Motor Oil
• Cooking Oil
• Chemicals or Solvents
• Electronics
• Hazardous Materials
• Paints

Commercial waste service can be provided with carts (64-gallon cart, 96-gallon cart), front load containers (2-yd. – 8-yd. container sizes), roll off boxes, and compactors.

Services for commercial trash and garbage will be conducted during the hours of 7:00am to 7:00 pm. Collection schedules will be determined by the needs and requirements of each establishment.
