ALACHUA, FL – June 17, 2021 – Waste Pro Driver Kenny Cash of the company’s Gainesville Division, located in Alachua, has earned the company’s coveted $10,000 Safety Award for his safe driving habits.

Cash, who has been with Waste Pro since 2012, began his career as a welder in the Fanning Springs, FL Division. He quickly earned his commercial driver’s license (CDL) and went right to work learning how to operate multiple lines of business.
Cash spent time in Gainesville running residential solid waste and recycle routes as well as driving residential collection routes out of the Fanning Springs Division. He was promoted to Front Load Driver in 2017 and transferred to the Gainesville Division, where he also volunteered to help with roll-off (commercial) routes. He was promoted again in 2019 to Lead Driver.
“Kenny has done an amazing job of stepping up and running routes when needed,” said Gainesville Division Manager Nathan Frischkorn. “He’s always there for drivers who call him when they need help with unfamiliar situations or new stops. He’s a great asset to Waste Pro and our Gainesville team.”
To be eligible for the $10,000 Safety Award, drivers must go three years without an at-fault safety event, maintain a positive attitude, have a strong attendance record, and maintain a well-kept truck.
