LONGWOOD, FL – July 29, 2024—The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners reappointed Tracy Meehan, Waste Pro’s Director of Communications, to the Solid Waste Technical Management Committee (TMC) for a third term. This is an advisory committee to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) responsible for making recommendations to the county on rates, formation, implementation, and revisions of policies and programs for solid waste disposal. Tracy is one of two members of the 13-member committee appointed by BCC.
Tracy is a Pinellas County, Florida, native with over 22 years of experience in marketing and communications. As Communications Director for Waste Pro, she oversees all internal and external corporate communication strategies, press releases, public/media relations, social media, branding, marketing, and company newsletters. Tracy joined Waste Pro in 2014 as a Municipal Marketing Manager covering Waste Pro’s West Coast Region of Florida which stems from Citrus to Collier Counties. In that role, she was critical in the rapid expansion of one of Waste Pro’s largest markets by building and maintaining relationships with communities and municipalities, expanding new growth and service areas, interacting with customers, and coordinating/attending community events.
In addition to her work at Waste Pro, Tracy is heavily involved in her community. She serves on numerous organizations and committees, including serving as the Board President of Keep Pinellas Beautiful. She is also an active member of Recycle Florida Today and the Solid Waste Association of North America.
