COLLIER COUNTY, FL – August 13, 2024—The Immokalee Eastern Chamber of Commerce has named Waste Pro Division Manager Jimmy Nieves its incoming President. Jimmy most recently served as the Chamber’s Vice President and will become the Chamber’s first new President in over ten years.
Jimmy seeks to support the Immokalee Eastern Chamber of Commerce’s vision of bridging the gap between Immokalee, Ave Maria, Golden Gate City, and Golden Gate Estates and building a vibrant, all-inclusive, connected multi-community environment through effective business leadership and support.
Joining Waste Pro in 2018, Jimmy began his career as a supervisor and progressed to Operations Manager for the Ft. Myers Division. In 2021, Jimmy was promoted to Site Manager for the region’s rapidly growing new team based in Collier County. He was then promoted to Division Manager for the same location in 2024. Jimmy oversees solid waste and recycling services for more than 9,000 customers, supervises over 15 employees, and manages 12 trucks in the Ave Maria and Immokalee areas. He has already made a mark in the local community. Under Jimmy’s leadership, the Immokalee Eastern Chamber of Commerce recognized Waste Pro as Business of the Year for 2023.
