PALATKA, FL –Waste Pro was proud to be this year’s gold-level presenting sponsor for the St. Johns River State College Viking 5K Run. At this event, which was held on May 28th at the Bronson-Mulholland House, runners, health-walkers and families gathered to raise funds for the college’s athletic program. This year was Waste Pro’s second time sponsoring the event.
“We had almost double the participants we had last year,” said Waste Pro Division Manager for Putnam and Alachua Counties, Daniel Carle, who passed out medals to the winners. “We are proud to support this program for all the opportunities it brings to our local youth.”
All the proceeds from this annual event are deposited by the SJR State Foundation and administered by the SJR State Athletic Association according to the needs of the athletic department and student-athletes.
