CLEARWATER, FL – Waste Pro was recognized as the 2015 Keep Pinellas Beautiful Commercial Recycling Partner at an awards luncheon held by the organization on June 16th at the Anona United Methodist Church in Largo, Florida.
“It is such an honor for us to partner with a local organization that shares our vision,” said Tracy Meehan, Waste Pro Municipal Marketing Manager for Southwest Florida, who accepted the award on behalf of the company. “Waste Pro is proud to support Keep Pinellas Beautiful in conserving the natural beauty of Pinellas County.” Tracy, who joined the Keep Pinellas County Beautiful board in 2014, currently serves as the Vice President of the organization.
Since 2014, Waste Pro has been instrumental in implementing environmental protection initiatives throughout Pinellas County, including donating containers to various local events, such as ‘Take a Bite Out of Grime’, a community-wide cleanup program led by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
At the luncheon, members of Keep Pinellas Beautiful thanked volunteers and businesses who have supported their mission and demonstrated their dedication to serving the community.
“We have a team of enthusiastic, committed professionals who work endlessly to achieve our goal of creating a community of environmentally responsible citizens,” said Keep America Beautiful Executive Director, Patricia DePlasco. “We could not have achieved this success without the support of our 14,836 volunteers, partners, and sponsors.”
