Waste Pro has acquired Waste Services assets in Lee County (Fort Myers Florida). The acquisition closed May 31, 2006 and was effective June 1, 2006. The new business will be merged into Waste Pro’s existing Ft. Myers operation and facilities. The acquisition will add $14 million in annualized revenue for Waste Pro.
The acquisition includes trucks, containers, equipment and long-term exclusive contracts with Lee County and the City of Fort Myers for commercial and residential collection services for over 38,000 residences and 1,200 commercial accounts. This will significantly increase Waste Pro’s presence in Southwest Florida and will immediately have a positive impact on Waste Pro’s financial results.
